Hackaton 2025

UCT Prague’s very first student hackathon brought together high school and university students with one big goal: make finance smarter for the next generation.

After 3 intense days full of brainstorming, teamwork, and mentorship, we have our winners!

 1st place: Teen Investment App
Miloš Nováček (UCT Prague), Nikola Forejtová & Ondřej Kroutil (Karlín Business Academy)
→ Teaching teens how to invest early and wisely.

 2nd place: Interactive platform for Gen Z investors
Filip Jenček (Gybon), Juraj Semerád & Matěj Tabach (Zatlanka)

 3rd place: Solution to impulsive online shopping
Zuzana Drotárová (EU High School Prague), Patrik & Samuel Cigléni (1st KŠPA Prague)

 The hackathon tackled financial literacy, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and real-life challenges — from investment games for kids to budgeting tools for students.

 “Some teens rely on their parents’ credit card. Others already manage small portfolios. Our teams turned these insights into real solutions,” said event lead doc. Lenka Švecová (Dept. of Economics & Management, UCT).

Organized as part of the EduPro – Education for the Future project, supported by OP JAK and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic.
