UCT Prague ranks among the world’s top 30 universities for faculty-to-student ratio
The University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague (UCT Prague) has been ranked among the world’s top 30 universities for its faculty-to-student ratio in the latest edition of the respected international QS World University Rankings. Among Czech universities, UCT Prague holds a leading position in this category, as well as in the diversity of nationalities represented among its international students. UCT Prague achieved second place among Czech universities and ranked 205th worldwide for the proportion of international students, while placing third in citations per academic staff member.
“We often tell our students that at UCT Prague they are not an anonymous crowd, but individuals who matter to us personally. I am pleased that this highly respected international ranking clearly reflects this fact,” says Rector Milan Pospíšil. “Being among the 30 best universities in the world in a category that demonstrates an individual approach to students is not a given. It requires significant effort and resources, but we pursue this goal deliberately and with commitment. Where else should a university invest its time and finances than in its students, who will one day help improve the world?”
UCT Prague also ranks among the leading Czech universities in categories focused on the genuine internationalisation of the university environment. “Our university has enjoyed a strong reputation and respect abroad for many years, whether in chemistry or in the teaching of economics and management. The large number of students from all corners of the world creates a unique environment where different perspectives on science, education, and the world meet and inspire one another in a friendly atmosphere,” adds Rector Milan Pospíšil.
In terms of overall scores, the university improved in six out of nine indicators in this year’s QS World University Rankings. Among Czech universities, UCT Prague maintained its fifth-place position in the overall ranking.
