A New Double Degree Programme Connects Prague and Samarkand

The School of Business UCT Prague is launching a new Bachelor’s Double Degree programme in Economics & Management, developed in cooperation with the Samarkand Branch of Tashkent State University of Economics. The programme offers students a unique opportunity to gain an international study experience and earn two academic diplomas.

The four-year programme is designed to combine study in Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic. Students will spend the first two years at the Samarkand Branch of Tashkent State University of Economics and continue their studies in Prague during the following two years. Graduates will receive diplomas from both partner institutions, reflecting the academic strengths and expertise of each.

The launch of the programme was supported by the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Uzbekistan, Mr Lubomír Frebort, whose presence highlighted the importance of long-term Czech–Uzbek academic cooperation and the development of international educational partnerships.

The new programme builds naturally on the existing cooperation between the two institutions, including the Samarkand Summer School, which brings students and faculty members together and strengthens mutual understanding and collaboration in practice.
